Verify Announces The Formation Of Independent Subsidiary, VTR

May 2008 — Verify obtains WOFE Status in PRC and enhances its Global Capabilities

SHENZHEN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Verify Asia, part of the Verify group of companies, a leading global provider of supply chain and technical support services, has attained WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) status in China on May 20, 2008 and accordingly has expanded its capability considerably in this region.

A WOFE is a limited-liability company wholly owned by a foreign investor, introduced by the Chinese government to encourage export-oriented manufacturing and business development, following China’s WTO ascension. In order to obtain WOFE status, Verify had to demonstrate its suitability to the Chinese authorities against a range of challenging business criteria.
